Tablet and Web Custom Application for American Academy of Pediatrics
ASP developed a custom application with several learning collaboratives for their members. This application serves several purposes for their members and patients. The pediatricians have a training component for their continuing education credits that is difficult to track. This application meets and records the public safety training for this credit as well as providing training for their patients. The patients are quized using tablets to complete surveys. The pediatrician can review the incorrect information with the patient in an effort to correct misconceptions about safety, obesity-related issues and vision.
The application has user management that allows the academy to easily sign up new users for each or mulitple collaboratives. The users only see their patient's records. Patient identifying fields are removed from the academy admin roles for HIPAA compliance. There are web screens for the pediatrician or staff to enter patient information and tablets with guest accounts for patients to complete surveys.
